A break from banks today. The PH Score bank "winners" seem to be doing just fine.
But that's fundamental momentum and a sprinkling of value.
There are so many areas of dangerous momentum in our markets today, accentuating the differential between growth and value, new economy and old etc.
It strikes me that old value still has a place in our portfolios.
The good news is they get cheaper by the day.
So it may pay to raise those animal spirits by reverse momentum. On a gradual basis. It's a perverse dopamine hit watching the old favourites sink on a relative basis...buy as they slip further behind...smile as they register another red day because as sure as eggs their time will come and you don't want to be holding all those shares that just never seem to be going down and eternally flash green?
